I don't have the game yet, and I wonder with which expansion packs I should start? I will buy the deluxe version, which comes with nightlife. What other expansion packs should I get? I only want to buy 2 more.

I have all the expansion packs and am looking forward to the knew one coming out in Spring of 2008. I would have trouble advising on which two packs to add, I like University, Pets, Seasons, and Bon Voyage.
Open for Business is not that interesting, however, your sims can create some really interesting things, like robots to help with the store and house work and jack-in-the-boxes that can turn out wrong and scare a child
Pets gives your sims the option of having a cat, dog, bird, or rodent for a pets. The cats and dogs can have careers and reproduce.
Seasons adds weather and fishing and gardening options.
University gives teens an extended life at college which opens new career paths.
Bon Voyage offers a timeless vacation on one of three locations where they can learn new abilities, like Ninja teleporting, and collect souvenirs which can be displayed on a wall shelf unit. and newly wed sims can have a honeymoon.

Personally I think open for business is a bit lacking in interesting stuff. I love university as you can have your teens go to college instead of going from teen to adult. Pets version is awesome you can breed cats and dogs and even sell them. seasons can be fun and offers winter clothes option but the weather affects your sims and they have to not be to hot or cold or they have problems. Havn't tryed bon voyage yet. Another thing to keep in mind the more expansions you get the longer it takes to load the game so if you have a slow computer buyer beware.

I personally like the Open for Buisness Pack b/c it is easy to earn money. There is a collection exp. pack now that is a collec. of 7 packs in 1 for a few bucks extra

I have University, Nightlife, Open for Business and Bon Voyage. I love them all, but Open for Business is my least favorite.
