i have heard that there is going to be a fourth pirates of the caribbean installment but i heard that orlando bloom and keira knightley did not want to do any more. but then i heard that they are being payed to say that, i mean obviously if they offer them enough money they will come back. and i also heard that if there is a fourth movie that it will be about the fountain of youth AND ALSO about the fact that elizabeth must team up with jack to figure out a way to get Will away from being the capitan on the Dutchman in a way that won't kill him. so what has everyone else heard? i also heard that the fourth script has been written and that they are editing it now and that if there is a fourth movie that it will come out either the summer of 2009 or 2010, they are going to wait for a while because the characters said that filming 2 back to back movies was a hassle. i totally LOVE POTC and i would love for them to make a 4th one. so please tell me what you have heard about the movie

The producers are serious about making another one, but in 2009. Though the director said he didn;t what to inless it was a story worth telling. Johnny Depp said he'd do it. Keira said no she didn't want to though. So i guess we'll see i hope.
Oh and the writers said that at the end of the movie if you saw the actual ending of the third, because of elizebeths undying love for Will he was no longer bound to the Dutchmen.

i've heard the exact same as you have. but the actors cant do it until 2009 probably (thats why theres a break, i dunno tho) so it probably wont be out till 2010 because i know Keira Knightley is doing like 2 movies now and i think movies take like a yr. to film so lets see, ones almost out, and the other one mite come out in 2008. so that means, wait, that means it can start in 2008 and releas in '09 but i dont know about the other actors. i love Pirates and i do hope they make another one. o and i heard that Elizabeth and Will had a kid or kids or something and so that would be cool if it was like a boy and girl twins and they be pirates too. aaaaarrgggggh!!

all i really heard was that the fourth one would be about the characters looking for the "Fountain of Youth" i really don't know how interesting they could make it but I agree with Mr. Taco as well! the first one rocked and is my favorite no doubt.
it sucks that most sequels don't turn out that great and sometimes degrade the original movie (except LotR)

Oh, God, I hope not. I love the first film! Each subsequential film, however, has been less impressive than the previous one. It will only get worse and worse if they keep doing it, until the awesome memory of the original is all but tarnished.

Mr. Taco is right, everyother movie is just getting lamer and lamer, with no sparks of creativity, just adding on to what has had to end, but just didnt.
