I've Googled and lyric-searched, and found nothing useful. This is for my mom for Christmas, really. The record in question is entitled "Karnival in Koln", and some certain songs on it are as follows:

Du darfst mich Lieben fur drei tolle Tagen

O, wie bist du schon!

Wir kommen alle, alle, alle in dem Himmel

Es war einmal ein treuer Husar

Einmal am Rhein

Du kannst nicht treu sein

Wer sol das bezahlen

(Among others, I think).

I am not specifically asking to buy them from you, as that is against Yahoo rules. A link will be sufficient, if possible. You can e-mail me as well.

This is in the Senior Citizens section simply because the record in question is at least 30 years old, and I figure I'll get the most answers here. It is not a misplaced question.

Thanks to all, and I do understand if I get no replies.

"Bi Mir bist Du Shon" was recorded about 1959 by American Keely Smith and I think Louie Prima. It was a BIG hit at the time, and is in English with some German. However, Amazon.com may carry what you are looking for.You might also look on e-bay, but re. that "caveat emptor." I am having no luck on finding it on the web, but you can try directing your question to Germany Q and A, specifically. And list it under either "seniors" or "music". How kind of you to think of doing that for your mom. I know that she will treasure whatever you give her. But most of all she will treasure the thought.

Are you looking specifically for a record or would a CD do? In my area there is a good German deli that also sells Cd's of German music. If you have on in your area you may want to check that out. I have found a few Cd's at a local music store, but there was not a good selection. My mom loves the old German folk music too. Heino is one of her favorites.

I just looked for you too, but I can't find anything. Not even a link. Sorry. Have you tried over in Entertainment and Music? They might know. What about Amazon.com?
