you must be 17 or accompanied by a parent or guardian - your friend qualifies as neither.
You have to be of age or you need to go with your parents/ guardians.

depends on the theater. some places wont let anyone into an r movie whos under 18, some theatres wont let you in if you're under 18 unless you're with YOUR parents. Some places really dont care eihter way.

It has to be a parent or guardian(relative). Friends are not supposed to be able to get you in.
