Both. Contacts are not that hard to get use to. I learned how to use them under an hour when i was 13. And by no means was I a special 13 year old.
There is little to lose in trying them. Most optomerist provide you a trail pair with a prescription.

I wear both glasses and contact lenses. I've needed glasses since I was eight years old, and can't see a thing without them or my contacts. I like wearing contacts better though, because in my case, they slow down the deterioration process of my vision. In other words, every time I would go to the eye doctor before I started wearing contacts, I always needed a stronger prescription. Now that I wear contacts, each time I go back my vision has either stayed the same, or only slightly worsened.

I wear glasses, and have never considered contacts, because I can't stand for anything touching my eyes. If I get
a loose lash, it drives me nuts and my eye gets irritated in no
time. I know that contacts have come a long way since the
days of hard contacts. And now there are a type you can
sleep with overnight. But I've also worried about cancer of the
eye with constant wearing, even tho air can circulate through
them I understand. I'll continue with what I feel the most com-
fortable with. And hopefully after surgery for cataracts in the not to distant future, I will have better vision than I have today.

I've worn glasses since I was 3 or 4 years of age. I remember the very first pair I had because they hurt my ears and I had to have a band-aid wrapped around the bit that went behind my ears. They were round, blue metal frames with a bendy ear piece with a bobble on the end....very painful. I cannot have contacts due to having an astigmatism and I have a problem with dry eye occasionally. Don't think I would use contacts even if I could coz I hate anything near my eyeball. Tc has worn glasses since he was 7 yrs old but he doesn't want contacts either.

I wear both contacts and glasses. It took me awhile to even consider wearing contacts because I don't like anything touching my eyes. Even then, when I went for my fitting, I almost couldn't get them because my eyes kept tearing up and blinking before I could even get the lens in. I figured out a way to put them in where that doesn't happen anymore and I love them. Didn't like the price though until I found them for real cheap here http://www.disposablecontactlens.info/ I still wear glasses every now and then too to give my eyes a break. Hope this helps.

contacts are not hard to get used to at all. There are now bifocal & multifocal contact lenses. There is also something called monovision that is very successful. One eye is used for distance and the other for reading. It is highly successful. Sometines you have to go in for a few fittings before the prescription is finalized. It is well worth it. Contacts offer a freedom that glasses dont.

I had Lasik corrective laser surgery, so I don't need any lenses for distance vision (beyond two feet). However, I still need reading glasses, but I get by with the ordinary reading glasses from the drug store. I've saved a fair bit of money over the years by not having to get prescription glasses, since having the surgery. I was considering contacts before then, but a friend persuaded me for the laser surgery after he had his vision surgically corrected.

Today just about everyone can wear contact lenses, and there are more healthful and convenient contact lens options than ever before. Contact lenses are used to correct the same conditions that eyeglasses correct. For all details, information and remedies about contacts check out http://use-contactlens.blogspot.com/
