Who did the ORIGINAL version of "Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain"?

(For some reason I think it was Marvin Rainwater) ??!!!?

Fred Rose wrote it and Hank Williams is the first version I heard.Hanks' version is very pretty and I have it on "Hank Williams Alone With His Guitar CD" Roy Acuff Also recorded it so since he was associated with Fred Rose and Acuff-Rose music he very well could have been the first to record it.

The song was originally recorded in 1945 by Mr. Roy Acuff. It was a song written by Fred Rose.

The song was written by Fred Rose... but the first person I heard sing it was Hank Locklin...
