It depends on the prize. I'm a collector of various things, and the chase has always been more rewarding. It's led to travel and seeing new things and making new friends. I'm happy to have the things I have, but finding them was more fun.
Finding my wife, the courting process, was fun and is a nice story, but having a life with her is so much more rewarding.
