LeAnn..While invading and occupying nations which posed no threat to them, slaughtering innocent civilians, and torturing suspected enemies, the United States continues to mouth empty platitudes about spreading freedom and democracy.

1. wiretapping of US citizens without seeking FISA court approval (the FISA court has granted approval to virtually every request it has considered)

2. passing and renewing the Orwellian Patriot Act which seriously violates four of the ten amendments in the Bill of Rights

3. the invasion and occupation of Iraq, a sovereign nation which had not attacked the United States and had posed no imminent threat

4. suspending habeas corpus and posse comitatus

5. defying the Geneva Conventions by arbitrarily arresting, detaining and torturing at least 14,000 alleged "enemy combatants"

6. significant expansion of Executive powers by adding signing statements (which direct the Executive branch to implement laws as the president sees fit rather than as Congress intended) to over 750 laws.

In answer to your question, hell yes he is a terrorist, and worse yet, he has turned America into a terrorist Nation.

This is a serious reply, as you requested.
Rather than write a lengthy reply with all of the reasons why Bush is not a terrorist, I honestly believe that it is your responsibility to site why you think he is - please include valid and verifiable facts.

Reply - your examples are opinions - not facts.
Did the Iraqis not vote in a free election for their representatives? This is not an empty platitude - it's the first real progress in this country in almost a century. And, MOST IMPORTANTLY, innocent civilian deaths in a war are tragic - no debate there -but you cannot compare this to the indiscriminate and intentional slaughter of thousands of innocent people in planned attacks routinely carried out by the terrorists.

This is a totally irresponsible question, disloyal to our nation under siege by the Moslem terrorist.

Al Qaeda gets encouragement from the internal traitors. Come the next major terror attack, all scores against the Democrat Party and their terrorist lover leaders get settled, permanently.

Because terrorism is deliberatly targeting civilian targets in order to inspire fear and coerce a desired political result.

We do not target civilians. We do not try to sway populations through fear.

I see you only want answers from people who are as much of a hater as you are.

So you tell us, what makes you think that a man who is trying to give a chance at freedom to 25 million people a terrorist?

Last time I checked...he wasn't sending our troops into mosques wearing bomb vests, didn't fly planes into Mohammed's Tomb, declare that Muslims must convert to Christianity or die, and doesn't use kids as suicide bombers.

Is this a trick question ?

To be a terrorist would require a level of understanding beyond what President Bush has displayed in his 7 years of Vacation.

He responded to an attack on our Country. I guess that would make Lincoln, Wilson, FDR, Truman and Johnston "terrorists" in your viewpoint.

Well, he hasn't committed violent, illegal acts for the purposes of inspiring terror in the hopes of winning political concessions.

He's made speaches with the purpose of inspriring fear in the hopes of winning political concessions, and he's, ordered technically legal violent acts for similar reasons.

So he's certainly not a nice guy, but he doesn't fit the usual terrorist definition.

A terrorist has his or her boots on the ground doing the terrorist thing.

So your question is mute.
