Sponges are asymmetrical. They do not have a particular, general shape. Humans have bilateral symmetry. We can be divided into two equal haves if follow an imaginary line running down center of bodies. Starfish have radial symmetry (body parts extend from a central point). Sponges are asymmetrical as they have no particular shape.
