I guess the War of 1812 can be considered the final part of the American Revolutionary War. The British tried to retake the colonies. They burnt Washington D.C. It was during this war that the Star Spangled Banner was written. After the war the British became convinced that they had lost the American Colonies forever. The United States remained intack and Canada remained in the hands of the British. The war lasted from 1812 until 1814.
