New Hampshire to Newport, Oregon, down the coast highway to San Fran, then to Desoto, Mo, and back to New Hampshire.....logged 8000 miles. Quality time with 12 yr old son. That was in about 1980. Great trip, a real adventure for both of us.

SC my husband's parents live there. It's not a bad drive once yo u get into Tennesee and drive through all the mountains. Dog Patch KY is along the way and that's pretty cool too. The best walmart in the entire county is in Clarksville Indiana which is also on the way. Also my hubby and I stop at Chik-fil-A and Sonic whenever we can...(they don't have any in Chicago where we live) I also took a road trip a few years ago to Toronto Canada. That was a pretty fun road trip too.
