Don't pick a common name because then the child will be cursed with having to tack on a last initial just for teachers, friends to identify him. Whatever name you chose, make it unique, maybe a variation of a common name, but nothing too out there, so that the poor kid has to explain the history of his name every time he has to freaking introduce himself--choosing the wrong name could end up being the bane of a child's existence.

There were some others, but these were the ones that I personally liked (or at least thought were ok). There aren't too many J names though. Good luck finding one! (Well, your sister's friend...but good luck to you helping! lol)

I was going to name my little one Jackson if it were a boy, but I had a girl. I like unusual names too, so I was going to spell it Jaxon.

You should maybe search by ethnicity. It might be more appealing. We are Irish, so we decided on the name Connor.
