Yes as God said, you just smile, listen, and then everyone likes you.

I think you should not dwell too much on past hurts and betrayals, just try to live your life, you have a lot more years to live it.

So Enjoy it - please - there are some lovely people out there.

Yes I can identify well with these feelings daily.
Satan tried to bring me down daily but I just cling tighter the the Lord for strength to get through them So I dont take up too much of your time here Read my testimony in my 360 page. It describe a lot about why I can feel this way and wny I wont let it keep me down.
I still domt trust anyone but God now. As people have always hurt me and let me down. Family Especially.
Sometimes when I'm surrounded I purpously shut myself down behind my protective wall , because I dont want the people around me into my space. Cause if I do ,I'm sure to get hurt. The only way I see it is if someone gets through my barriers when I put them up then it's God doing not anyone elses. I've given many chances at things, and sometimes I screw them up but they can be corrected . I just have to be willing to try to do it again and not think of myself as a nothing or a failure like some see me. Cause I'm not like them or am seen as a liability. My life is full of way too many miracles to stand by and let the world drag me down for good.
So if people decide to shun me and make me feel alone or outcast, then I know at least someone cares enough to be with me. My husband has put up with all sort of H* from me , but refuses to let me go. Afraid to be alone keep him clinging to me. So I must be important to him and that gives me hope to fight against the odd of the world, then my kids are living miracles that are a dream come to life for me, so I'm special to them. So I at least have a little corner of my own that no one can take from me, as they'll always be inside my heart no matter where they go. Another way I do is write out those feelings into my poetry, some I've posted for others to see and some I keep just for me.
I'm here if you ever need to talk.

Loneliness comes from within, if you learn to like your own company then you won't be lonely with or without people around you.

Look for ways to help others!

Volunteer your time with a charitable organization. Your local cancer society, or Red Cross, or YMCA, or YWCA, or food bank, or animal shelter, or local church group, etc. - all will welcome you with love and kindness.

Do little random acts of kindness for others (hold the door for them, give them a smile, say hello, compliment their nice clothes or new hairstyle, etc.).

Best wishes and good luck.

Personally I learned to prefer my own company to anyone else's.

It's not that I don't trust other people, they're just not my first choice for companions.

No, I think it is not impossible. It takes time especially to forget that past.
