In this case it sounds like 21 long by either 5 or 6 high and/or wide.

Typical; DECENT measurements described would usually add L/W/H in the numbering; but it's possible the product is imported, and those details aren't a consideration.

There is no standard in measurement....It depends on the person or the company writing or saying the dimensions.....I myself, use width x height x length. I always ask when working with someone else which is which so there is no confusion, sometimes I get funny looks, but I at least I know.....
But the dimensions you show sounds like length x height x width.....

Hi Jay,
That is a really great question! The answer is, unfortunately, it varies with who happens to be asking or telling. I've been in construction for 20 years and boy do I wish there was a "standard" for this exact thing. I personally prefer: H x L x W because I can remember it by the alphabet. H then L then W. You have brought up a ***** in the construction industry!

The generally accepted practice is LXWXH. In cabinetry change width to read depth (the linear distance from front to back).

if someone is describing a window or door it is always the width first then the height. in this case it sounds like it is LxWxH.
