You really should do your homework before investing your hard earned dollar in these types of machines. They can be maintenance nightmares, cycles are long and they cost 2 to 3 times as much as opposed to a standard center post agitator top loader which rarely have complications or complaints.

True you can't wash everything in a standard top loader with a center post agitator, but how often do you wash comforters, jackets and gargantuan blankets

The cleaning performance of some front loaders have been sketchy and there have been reports of problems with frequent breakdowns, musty, moldy smells, constant off balance problems, electronic panel errors, cycle times are too long, etc..

The new fangled HE top loaders that don't have agitators are too steer clear of. They suffer from all of the above mentioned problems and more. Read what many say on Epinions.com about them and other washers that you are in the market for.

I have a maytag. The only thing I've noticed is that you really can't get in there what they say you can. You can do about 7 pairs of Adult jeans, at once, and about 8 full sized towels at once. You don't have to use the he detergent, just don't use as much regular detergent as you are used to. Our clothes come out a lot drier to begin with, and the cycles can be long or short. I love my washer. You do have to put some bleach in an all white load at least once a week or it will smell a little musty, but from what I'm told you have to do this with all of them.

You should type in the front loader in the yahoo answer search. You will lot of answers even if there couple of months ago. It still is use full information.

I prefer top-loader. I see one with some cool features that are more update.

Front loader require small amount of water
but require especial soaps design for them. It commonly refer as H.E. detergents. They come in small bottles and cost more.

I see questions all the time with errors. I believe you have un-clog some parts of the wash machine when errors pop up un-order it fix. Similar to dryer lien trap.

Love the way the ones at the laundromat clean and it is on the list of things to buy soon. They seem to use less water and do a much better job.
