I have not noticed that people are not being able to find floss here in colo.But in your state if you can't find it in Wal Mart anymore try looking in places like Michaels, Hobby Lobby,and you could also look in any fabric store.The fabric store usually will have a couple of sales a year where embroidery floss is included you just have to look in your local newspapers sales advertisments.

Michaels carries tones of colours of embroidery floss but they only carry DMC brand embroidery floss.

Try eBay. Sometimes people have great bargains for embroidery/cross stitch/smocking floss.

I needlepoint. There's a great shop for cross stitch and needlepoint if you ever get over my way, in Hamilton Township, NJ. They also have a Website - listed below.
I'm going to focus on quilting this winter though. Cross stitch would probably make me go blind!

Oh my goodness!! yes! I used to buy it at Walmart, but now i have to buy it at the craft store, and it costs almost double what it cost at the walmart.
