Great Britain seen the American Declaration of Independence as treason. Many of the monarchies of the time also did not like the document, fearing that their own colonies would also seek independence.
Ironically, one revolutionary leader would use the Declaration of Independence in his own announcement for independence from a colonial power: Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam.
