I have an iMac 2003 10.3.9( http://www.monkeyfood.com/thestuff/food/Screenshots/20InchImac.jpg ) and I was going to update it to 10.4 but why bother 10.5 is coming out but I need these system requirements
-Processor must be any Intel, PowerPC G5 or G4 (at least 867 MHz or faster)
-DVD drive (for installation of the operating system)
-At least 512 MB of RAM (additional RAM (1GB) is recommended for development purposes)
-At least 9 GB of disk space available
I have all of those exept the MHz and RAM
I have -256 MB of RAM
-167 MHz
My question is how do I meet these requirments such as how do I get more RAM and MHz.

I think you have the 20" Flat Panel iMac with these specs
The 20-inch widescreen flat-panel iMac, for a suggested retail price of $2,199 (US), includes:

* 1.25 GHz PowerPC G4 processor with Velocity Engine™;
* 256MB of 333 MHz DDR SDRAM;
* 4x SuperDrive™ (DVD-R/CD-RW) optical drive;
* NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 Ultra graphics processor with 64MB video memory;
* Two FireWire 400 and three USB 2.0 ports;
* Internal support for AirPort Extreme wireless networking and Bluetooth;
* 80GB Ultra ATA/100 hard drive running at 7200 rpm; and
* Apple Pro Speakers.

If that is what you have, all you would need is to upgrade the RAM.
Look in Apple menu > About This Mac to see which Processor your Mac has, More Info for more specs about your Mac.

You can buy more ram from a place like crucial.com. I think your specs on the iMac are wrong. I have never heard of a 167 Mhz G4. It is probably a 867 Mhz.
