Is anybody else frustrated by the fact that when you call somewhere for service, you have to speak to a computer before you can talk to a live, breathing person with a pulse?? I just got off the phone with the phone company...It was a simple issue that I called about, but I couldn't find a way to resolve it online. So I called and I spent more time talking to a computer who kept mistaking what I wanted before it actually routed me to a person. And you know what? The issue was solved in a minute! Anybody else frustrated with this?

Those computerized answering set ups were voted the worse invention of all time. What really cracks me up is when it says, "Your call is very important to us". Yeah,...right..

But it does give us a great comeback to any business bragging about their customer service and how much they care. Any business with one of those really does not care about their customers.

What a crock of crap......

It wouldn't be too bad, but you are right..they can never decipher what you need exactly and a human would be able to fix most of the problems in mere seconds or a minute...

What I really hate is when the darn computers CALL you. These companies need to stop spending their money on machines and give PEOPLE back their jobs.

Life was much nicer wayyyyy back when..lol

YES!!! By the time you actually reach a real person you are so frustrated that you sound like a raving lunatic and they don't really listen anyway, which makes that much more frustrating.

This is just another poor way to cut the amount of jobs in a company. This over time will allso cause the company to loose money over peoples anger over crappy lack of service. When will these companys learn?

Yes, and generally if you hit the O repeatedly, a customer service operator will eventually come on the line.
