I remember how much brouhaha we got in the 1990s about the benefits, if we can call it that way, of globalization. That it will solve all the world's problems. And I even believed that then, but not anymore. Anyway, I knew in the beginning that many countries were going to resist it. And seeing guys like Chavez of Venezuela, Evo Morales of Bolivia, and of course Ahmanijedad resisting it, I was not mistaken. What do you say?

East Asia and India have benefitted greatly from economical globalization over the past 20years or so. Africa and Latin America have shown little or no benefit from it whatsoever.

Globalization is not entirely fuelled by corporate fiends trying to suck every cent out of a community by means of exploitation. some TNC's actually invest into the development of the area and help teach people from poverty stricken backgrounds new skills. This is not to say that some well known western products are manufactured at the cost of almost enslaving desperate workers.

Yes, the whole world benefitted from globalization. Otherwise, how could a peasant in Bolivia use Internet? Globalization brought many technological advantages to backward countries. For examples, western cars in China, cell phones in Nigeria, etc. None of these countries can produce those things.

Globalization especially benefits the women and children who labor for extended hours in factories and are paid less than two dollars an hour.

No! It benefits the corporations only and pretends to help the consumers.

Corporate globalization is a bad thing - unless we can also globalize taxes and the work force so that everyone is getting a fair shake. So far, that's not the case - so no, globalization sucks.

Hello,, if you consider that global volcano eruptions brought the end to life millions of years ago then globalization will bring death to millions of people who cannot live within the laws of the new world order.

well, if u r a christian, ARMAGGEDON. WHy boost their economies so they can afford nuclear weapons and attack us? Also, the US has pollution restrictions. If we send all the work overseas, they could pollute the earth more. And, there's job loss. Then, we lose product quality from all the MADE IN CHINA stuff, and customer service is a pain. That was just my reasons to dislike it in a nutshell. Unfortunately, it's like running water. You can't stop it

I say we should "globalize" however we need to be cautious. For instance not trade with those who fund terrorists. Our dependence on China is tightening a noose around America's Neck. Eventually they will have so many strings between us and China we will be their marionette.

I've seen globalization singlehandedly destroy rich cultures and create a mania over learning English in places where quite frankly, it's not even necessary.

Globalization means the end of the world. I honestly am not a big bible fan, but read revelation of the bible, that hints that globalization means the END!
