I don't mean professional requirements or social expectations. (Those are a whole other complicated matter!) I mean friends, families, spouses, and other individuals close to you.

For me, the one example that comes to mind is that I never wear my chalk striped double breasted when I am with my mom because she thinks chalk stripes are disgusting and they remind her of the mobsters she knew as a young girl. (She can tolerate a fine pinstripe.)

Watsit, my niece and nephews are a bit more charitable. They think it's funny that their uncle dresses like "some guy in a black and white movie"!

My grandmother.
She had total class.
She taught me from a very early age to buy little but good.
This piece of advice has never let me down.
I spend a lot of money on my clothes, but they last, are very chic and well tailored.
I do not follow fashion trends, I buy what suits me.

No one really. Some days I like to dress up and look all feminine - but with an edge and on bad days I just take one look at everything and think 'Bugger it all.' and just wear a comfy t-shirt and jeans(my comfort clothes).

I would have no idea who influences me, I don't think anybody in particular influences me, my cloths are pretty standard. Jeans, flip flops, well fitted tshirt and shoulder bag for my books, painted nails either black or red and a piece of jewelery or two. I suppose friends and seeing what's on sale.

My daughters tell me what to wear!
They hate my fashion sense and style, so every given opportunity they tell me what to buy, what to wear and with what accessories, they straighten my hair, pluck my eyebrows and put make-up on me!
Surely there must be somewhere that deals with parent abuse?!

My fiance. When we moved in together, we cleaned out our closets. Apparently, I don't look good in pinks or yellow:) For my part, we threw out about ten of his sweaters that are too old to be seen in public.

My aunts and my grandma have taught me to dress for success. My hubby doesn't like paisley, so I try to avoid it.

My daughter will often tell me not to wear this or that because it makes me look like an old fart, but other than that, I dress to please myself (and I usually don't dress like an old woman!).

Nobody, really. I just wear what happens to be in my closet. (My grandmother loves to buy my clothes, so I end up wearing them.)
