I think I would bring the cupcakes and as others have said I think I would decorate them w/ a bright color icing (maybe orange and brown swirl) and a LOT of sprinkles on top. I would also bring some of those ice cream cones that have chocolate and nuts on top (they are very messy when kids eat them). Then say "gee I thought the kids might like a variety of deserts". he he
OR since you did ban cupcakes you could bring decorated cookies w/ a lot of icing in a bright color and sprinkles on top and the ice cream cones.
Make sure whatever you do you look at her w/ a gleam in your eyes and laugh a lot when the food is spilled. And then you could say Oh I forgot how messy this stuff is and laugh some more. This is soooo mean, but effective! Sometimes some people deserve what they get!

this may be a fashion in colleges everywhere in the country regrettably. I endure in innovations the cupcake days fondly. right here in North Carolina a number of the universities assist you to deliver them in in basic terms in the event that they are save offered from particular grocery shops. some purely enable particular cookies. some no longer even that. lots of the universities right here inspite of the undeniable fact that say this is because of the fact of nutrition hypersensitive reactions that the faculty ought to no longer word of or nutritional regulations they do no longer seem to take heed to. yet I artwork with babies six to seven days a week and their mum and dad all endure in innovations the cupcake days and need they could do this for their babies. yet no. And, there are unquestionably no homestead made treats allowed to be introduced for the class to proportion besides. God forbid the babies ought to consume something they have in no way seen earlier. they could like it. I artwork at a summer camp and we've intense regulations there besides. I understand why that's achieved, yet i think of it has practically long previous to an intense. We even have some colleges the place the lecturers first activity of the day is to pass in the time of the pupil’s lunches and pull out something this is on the "Forbidden nutrition checklist" (i.e. peanut butter sandwiches, which if I endure in innovations wisely is a lunch staple) and throw it away or lock it away till the top of the day while the babies are leaving. What does the youngster consume then you definately ask? properly - the instructor is meant to % as to if the youngster nevertheless has sufficient left after the nutrition raid for an "proper lunch" or if the youngster would be "inspired to purchase their lunch" so they have sufficient in there platforms to make it for the time of something of the day. Why is all this ridculous overkill and oversensitivity carried out at present - as a results of terror of a lawsuit from a parent whose toddler could or will possibly no longer have an argument with a undeniable nutrition. It drives me nuts.

Maybe the kids are older now. Plus, how about some simple common sense and not let the kids walk around with them. Make them sit down at the table to eat instead of banning cupcakes altogether.

well turn about is fair play but.........remember what mom always said two wrongs don't make a right. be the bigger person and don't bring cupcakes. i know what you mean about the kids not listening and not to offend anyone here but kids are so different today than they were when i was raised. if you were told to sit down and be quiet you had better or else. the one thing i feared more than anything was my father he was hard on us but we grew to be pretty good people. he taught us respect for others especially our elders. good luck with the dinner and try to enjoy.
