canon pixma have the best reviews - you can read at www.cnet.com
It all depends on if you want an all-in-one or photo printer. I love my all-in-one. I will never go back to HP - too many feed problems

Best printer is that which is from a manufacturer that has been in business for a while and which enjoys a reputation for good support. So far I've had good luck with Epson, Canon, and HP.
Watch weekend ads for good sales - and great specials around holidays. I have found they practically give the printers away, then sock it to you with the cartridges.

You can do WAY more with a Canon and it isn't overloaded with a bunch of ads or software sales pitches like HP does.
Canon printers are smooth, fast and the ink lasts longer than HP and most other printers.
The print quality is fantastic.
The price is good, too.

Whatever you do,don`t get a lexmark.I hear they are giving them
away with purchases of christmas crackers this year.
I have a brother dcp115c and its been good for the last 3 yrs
no probs at all apart from ink cartridge replacement. These can
be refilled using an ink jet refill kit from most major department
stores in the uk.
