I went with Marie for another mammogram and an ultrasound, they found 2 masses in her breast but one is attached to the wall. At this point I am really starting to worry because she has the tumor on her spine, masses on her thyroid and now this mass. I am really hoping that she does not have cancer and it has metastisized, any one with experience on this?

No, I know what fibromytosis is, but she doesn't have that. I am so worried about her though. I take care of her handicapped son with CP, scihzophrenia and epilepsy, if anything would happen to her, i will have custody of her son since no one else will care for him

I too am worried about the one that doesn't move. Scares me to death, but right now, I cannot let her know how worried I am for her. She has such a full plate with the spine surgery later this week. They cannot do both surgeries at the same time, it would be too rough on her.

It sounds like the both of you have a very full plate. When I found a lump in my breast I had a mammogram and then an ultrasound and biopsy. When the results showed that my lump was cancerous I had a lumpectomy, chemo and radiation. My own opinion...... if the mass moves around then it could be something more of a cyst or fibrous tissues. If the mass does not move then it might be something more problematic. Early detection is the key. I pray the best for both you and your friend.

I've had small lumps several times. When I get a mammogram I always have to go back and get a recheck, once even an ultrasound because of this. They have always been ok after the recheck though. My mom had 2 lumps she found herself, neither showed up on her mammogram. She had them removed and they were benign. The one I would worry about if I were Marie would be the one that is attached. I hope she's getting a further evaluation real soon, she needs to keep on top of all this to be on the safe side. My best to you both.

I too have had mammograms with follow up ultra sounds to check suspicious areas the doctor could feel. Turned out to be nothing. Mom also had fibroids that they would drain with a very long needle. Very painful when they were full and she found relief in the draining but not cancerous or dangerous.

I have had too many biopsies and too many problems but somehow they all turned out benign. This doesnt sound good about the various tumors especially in such vital places but you already know this.
I am sorry this is happening to your friend. I will keep hoping for the best.

5 times, I believe cancer attaches itself, non cancerous masses or "lumps" are moveable. They will do a needle aspiration next I imagine and see if they get any fluid from it, fluid is good -
If all of these arent cancerous is it possible she could have a condition such as fibromytosis? Not sure it I spelled that right

Not being a female, but having been married for YEARS and YEARS, I have some familiarity with the condition.
I do hope that Marie, and YOU both come out of this, well.

My prayers for your friend and for you to have the emotional support and strength to be there for her!
I have had fibrocystic disease for eons....which causes 'masses' that are not cancerous. They come and go.
I hate to get mammograms because they always come up abnormal, although each time they rule out any serious problems

I had mastitis ( very painful lumps in my breasts) until I went
through the change. I've had one biopsy and one n/a....needle
aspiration. All was, thankfully, negative. My thoughts and prayers will include you, your friend and her son slk.
