Stealing is not the answer. There are alot of services in communities now that help feed people. (food pantries & soup kitchens, food stamps, and shelters)
I work in a school cafeteria & I see kids stealling food. I assume they are poor & picking up this thing called stealing from people like Y-o-u

Snatch means to take or steal. I think you might rephrase this as if I had no money and nothing in the cupboards at all to come up with even somekind of soup, I would go to a church and ask for help. If invited to friends, no I wouldn't snatch some dishes. Also, I would try to sell something for money, or trade for food. Or offer to work for the food for the kids.

99% of people will GIVE you the food if you tell them you have nothing to feed your kids. Also, check out local food pantries. Police stations usually have pamphlets and/or information. Also call the town hall where you live. Good luck!
