Lol I am the grammar and spelling nazi. I can't stand it. But I don't not take someone seriously because of it, its just my mother schooled me as a child and there was always hell to pay if I got something wrong in grammar or spelling. So think I equate poor grammar and spelling with being abused. Much more than I equate it with low intelligence or education... because some people just want to be lazy lol and I get that! lol

Only if they don't even try to learn it better. English is only my third language so I'm not perfect, but I do try to learn it as well as I can and it annoys me when people say: "Oh, I doesn't care for my grammar, i talks like I wants." (Ok, it's funny when Leroy talks like that in Fame, but he's grown up on the streets so that's different.) People who claim to be well-educated, but can't write a question properly or answer without making grammar mistakes, that's something that doesn't work for me - I can't take people like that seriously.

I always have to correct people's spelling, but I know I make mistakes too. I take people seriously even though they have bad grammar.

I sometimes take grammar seriously.
How you type, it's fine; your grammar is fine. Grammar isn't simple; I'll let things slip.
But if someone be goin' out 'n talkin' gangsta like I be doin', there's a problem, yo.

Many people live outside English speaking countries so I take that into consideration. However, I always use the spell checker and I think it is laziness not to.

OMG yes. I can't stand seeing poor grammar or poor spelling. I definitely think poorly of people who can't write properly.
