I got divorced about 9 years ago. Prior to getting lawyers
we were going to divide things equally. That did not happen.
The best advice I can give you is to get a lawyer ASAP.
That person will advise you on everything you need to know.
Where I live in ontario, the law states that what you aquire
together during the marriage not before is what you divide.
What was yours before, is yours. Same goes for him. If you
came into any money for any reason that is a separate
thing. Like if you got a pension or were left some money.
Now I will tell you also that even though the law states here that everything you purchased as a married couple is
to be divided. It rarely works out that way. You need to get
a good lawyer.

Well since you stated you've been married for 3 years, and have a daughter thats 2 1/2 that is not your husbands child I'd say your our of luck. You'd be lucky if you get to keep anything at all. Adultery is illegal on both ends, and if theres proof of Adultery then the person who has done it does not get to choose what they get to keep. If your soon to be ex is smart enough he will let the judge know of your Adultery. Hope you live in a state that isn't so formal on this type of thing!

Get a lawyer, now, ok sorry about your loss.
I'm at the tail end of my divorce of 31 years.
Listen to your lawyer and ask questions, make a list of questions, the best to you.

cut everything in half :P naw dont do that
sell it and split the cash evenly down to the pennies. as far as the daughter is concerned, since he isnt the biological father then you should get the child support from the actual father dont force it onto him. also dont take advantage of the divorce
