And I dont mean email :-) though I am sure I am leaving myself wide open wording it that way ....... when my father in law had a cancerous tumour in his brain I "received" the message that he "would die when the daffodils bloom". So I phoned my then husband and told him to come home, he believed in my "messages" (he was working 100's of miles away) and came home and we went to visit my FIL in the hospital and there was a vase of daffodils by his bedside that his daughter had brought - and I looked at my husband and he looked at me, and I started to cry. My sister in law and mother in law thought I was crazy crying over the daffodils but my FIL died that afternoon. I have often received these weird messages, they are always cryptic. I am never really sure what they mean when they come through but sooner or later it becomes clear.

Does anyone else experience this?

I believe firmly that if God gives you a gift such as this you should not ever use it for profit. I would never charge someone to "read" them. I do it sometimes if people ask, for fun, but never would I charge someone. And it doesnt always work either. When the messages are cryptic it can be strange, I read a friend once and received a message that he had a broken heart, when I told him he looked puzzled, but after I said the messages are often cryptic he opened his shirt and showed me a surgical scar - heart surgery.

CJ I was in grade 3 when I had an experience like yours, I knew I had to go home, in fact it felt as if my mouth was filled with blood, there was no blood but I could taste it and smell it. I ran all the way home and my dad was there being patched up for an trip to emergency, he was falling a tree with a chain saw and it kicked back and sent the chain saw flying and it landed on him right in the place where your neck meets your shoulder and cut really deeply into his shoulder. That was before there was an automatic kill switch on the saws. There was a lot of blood --

I was camping when my fiance was in a motorcycle accident and I knew instantly, just packed up even though it was close to midnight, came back to the city and stopped at hospital and asked to see him, and sure enough he was there, in ICU. He died a week later without ever coming out of his coma. The cops phoned me two days later because my number was in his wallet - nothing like taking your time in contacting people.

Yes, since I was a very very young girl. I consider it the gift of knowledge spoken of in Acts (Bible).

Well, I had a strange experience shortly before my grandmother died in 2000. She went into the hospital for tests, and though she was expected to stay for a short time there, complications developed and she ended up being there for over a month. No one in the family expected her to die, though. However, I had a strange experience one evening when I took a nap on the sofa in my mom's living room. When I woke up from my nap I looked at an old black and white baby picture of my grandma that was hanging on the living room wall. For some reason, the face in the picture seemed almost ALIVE! That's not to say that the image moved or talked, but it somehow seemed almost alive. I found this VERY unsettling, because I knew that my grandmother was still alive and I was hoping that this wasn't an indication that she was about to die. I told myself that it was just my imagination, but unfortunately, she died unexpectedly not too long afterwards. Maybe it was a just a figment of my imagination that turned out to be coincidental, or maybe it was something else. I don't know.

This is a very powerful question! Yes I receive messages but they are not that "weird". When I was in High School (boarding school) - I raised my hand and told my teacher that I had to go home. (over 100 milese away). She asked why. I said that there was something wrong with my Grandmother! (She had not been ill). I went home, and as I walked in the door the phone was ringing. I answered. It was my father - he told me that his mother had just died (my grandmother). That was the first one. Another time I was a flight attendant and was on the London, Frankfort, Cairo run - at the airport flight supervisor's office I told the crew chief that I absolutely could not get on a certain flight for which I was scheduled. I said you can dock me, suspend me, fire me, but I am not flying today. The flight left on time, but never reached its destination - - - - and all I had was a "feeling". I have had several other such experiences - even told my Father not to use the "Tube" when we were in England. He listened. That very day the I.R.A. bombed the station he was supposed to use had he decided to travel. It is a gift and I am truly blessed to have it. (btw -IRA is Irish Republican Party). CJ

I am not religious but have received such a message. I was still living at home with my parents, I must have been about 23 or 24 and was cleaning up my room. My Grandma had been a bit sick and no one knew if she would live or die - she was in an old folks home as she could not cope on her own. While doing the vacuuming I got a very strong clear message to go and see Grandma right now. I got my Mother and we drove down in my car to see her. She died about an hour after we left.
I just knew - don't ask me how, I just did. I have not received any other messages since then.

Yes, I have and Christians refer to it as discernment. Before my mom, dad, sister-in-law and brother died, I have also had messages that are in a dream, or a feeling of knowing, or a severe sadness and over occupation of death, visual like seeing a house that is really ugly and often passed it and wondered why I always ended up looking at it...well 7 years later I was living in it. I have had lot of these but one has to pay attention to them or you miss them. Don't you think?

There is discernment that is given to those who believe, and there is another gift of being a medium which is from the evil one. I know this is true because I had a friend who could tell the future and her Aunt could really see it clearly and she was right. My friend refused to do it anymore as she recognized it as from the evil one. So, just be careful where you are getting your info. from as it can be from God or Satan. I know that some of you will think that I am a fanatic but I have been on both sides and even when it was correct, from a psychic it ended badly.

Many times I know when something will happen, usually just mundane things like when the phone will ring, or who I'll run into at the store, etc. Sometimes (and I'm not crazy) I hear odd things here at home. Just the other night all was quiet, and then I heard what sounded like a wind-up music box playing. It sounded far away, yet right there in the room, if that makes sense. Also I will smell scents that no one else can. Have you ever heard of Spirit Guides? Maybe what you're experiencing are messages relayed to you by your spirit guide. Here is a site I found that helps explain this:

You have a precious gift, and I agree, one that should never be used for profit. I do believe that if one can offer this gift of precognition to others, it should be done from the heart and not for money. I have had weird experiences also, some that I won't relate because I wouldn't be believed anyway. Actually, one just occurred just a couple of weeks ago. I have no idea where these (powers ?) come from or how they are communicated to us, but I do think that they are real, not just coincidence. There are those that are non-believers but that is okay. Some believe, some don't.

Yes, now and again. Probably more often than not, when I'm actually paying attention; I'm sure I've missed some. The one that stands out in my mind - I must have been around 21 and "knew" my grandfather had fallen. I waited a little while then called my mother and asked if she's heard from him. She said no and asked why, and I didn't want to tell her. She called a little while later and had found out he had fallen and broken his nose and I think a couple of ribs.

I've learned not to necessarily share these messages with most people. I may tell hubby. I may write it down and date the note. I find telling someone who wouldn't understand only upsets them.

All kinds of things, all the time.

Like this weekend. I have been taking a rather "extended leave" from house cleaning because I wasn't feeling well, and my arthritis was killing me. Of course, if I don't clean it just doesn't get done, even with six other people living in this house.

Well, on Saturday, even though my head was killing me, and my arthritis was just throbbing, I just picked up the magnetic duster and started at one end of the room--pictures, bric-a-brac, all surfaces -- went on to vacuum and polish and had all of the main floor sparkling when I decided it was clean enough.....Only to have a meeting 30 minutes later, when I had taken my grandsons (using a route we normally WOULD NOT have taken) to do shopping, with the family of my middle grandson's science project partner. They had to turn in a completed project on Monday, that they hadn't even started on. We exchanged phone numbers, and I got permission for the boy to come over to our house in order to work on the project the next day. (The boyfriend was more than a little peeved having to build a plexiglass box with no warning.)

So that was the reason for my cleaning frenzy...the lab partner came over...all three of us jammed on the working of their water wheel, and figured out how it would run and the delivery system for the water--and yes--it worked wonderfully at school today!

But always backhanded sorts of things like that. Knowing when the phone will ring and it will be a certain person. I also receive messages from my mother in my dreams--at least I did before my father died two years ago. She told me the exact day he was going to die, but I was too stupid to work out her imagery until after the fact. I keep on wishing she'll give me the winning lottery numbers, but she never has.

Yeah. That's why I took messaging down yesterday. Some guy named Cody sent me like, 15 emails saying "will you go out with me". And then I got other ones, "you're really pretty".

I don't get messages like that but on occasion I get feelings that some one in the family needs help or wants me to call. I especially have a connect with my oldest daughter, mother, and older sister. I tend to call when thy are dialing me. Once I told my husband to get the scanner which I don't listen too and heard my daughters friend car, who she was with, have a accident. That was scary but all were o.k. She couldn't believe I got to her before she or the police had called me.
I think psychic abilities are wonderful but i don't think I can handle any more then the feelings I get.
