Ok seems a silly question but for me hate is a really strong word and I don't use it lightly
I HATE it when someone tells me off. My 28 year old boss's son decided to have a go at me yesterday for something so stupid. I almost told him to *** my ***.
Then this morning I got a violation for the stupidest question...
Ok so I am not really mad just wanted to see if other ppl have similar reactions or can help me to be more growned up.
Oooh this is a long question, I wonder if anyone will answer?

Often, everything that comes out of my mouth is misunderstood or the meaning behind it is assumed and I end up offending someone... so I'm quite used to being told off...
Here's how I see it... the person telling me off will undoubtedly feel very stupid for their own loss of control, so I keep my mouth shut, suck it up and let them rant... when it's all over and the person has calmed down, I speak in very even tones and explain whatever it is that's upset them so badly. I don't OWN anyone's anger but my own, so it doesn't affect me.
When you refuse to let someone else's anger affect you, and you remain level headed they'll usually see that they reacted inappropriately. Especially in a professional environment...
Ooooh this was a long answer, I wonder if anyone will read THIS?

I don't like being touched all that much either, with the exception of my husband and two sons, I really hate people getting in my personal space. Just explain that u really don't like people being too familiar or getting too close until u invite them and at this point he is just a friend. It sounds like he really likes u and thinks this is the way to show u, so u really need to explain the situation but I totally understand where u r coming from and there is nothing wrong with wanting yr. space and people should be more mindful of this, instead of rushing in and being suffocating.....all the very best

Tell off someone: to tell someone that his/her behavior is not acceptable (I love to be precise ...)
Well, I reckon it is not exactly a pleasure "to be told off" by someone. Yet, once more, it depends on the way and on the person who is criticizing my behaviour. Sometimes it is a good thing: I mean, I get angry because of being told off by a friend or someone else, but I start to look at me, then, at my behaviour and I find out that ... I am not perfect.
I was told off by my best friend and it was a long time before I could understand that she was right about my wrong behaviour she was criticizing.

ur right, hate is a very very strong word. wen ppl tell me off, i look at them and smile and say umhm and ok like every 2-3 words they say. it actually pisses them off even more so wen i walk away smiling cuz i know i pissed them off more than they tried to piss me off, it feels GREAT! just b careful cuz some of them types of ppl can hold a serious grudge but later, most of them realize they were a bit harsh and a total pompus *** n will apologize cuz u were calm and every1 was lookn at them rather than u. Others will talk bout it to that u kept ur cool. It ticks me off but later, i feel like i was the bigger person in that situation. good luck to you.

I don't, and being told off is something someone would deserve for being a jack ***.
Maybe it might be stupid for you, but not for your boss' son, your probably a 30 year old, why would you tell someone to STAR STAR STAR my STAR STAR STAR???

I think most everybody hates being used as a whipping board, but I don't go out without a fight of my own.

Yeah, I hate it most of the time... I end up feeling like a little dumb kid when it does occur... which leads to me wanting to start throwing fist all over the place, like an angry gorilla...

I dread being told off.
But when they are obviously in the wrong, I agree/apologize courteously while letting my eyes and smile tell them they are full of ****.
