LOL @ Mcline.
"We want to get past the first round!"
Try making the playoffs first.
Anybody, and I mean ANYBODY who thinks Arod wouldnt make their team better has overdosed on soundbites. Did you know that Arod has a better post season showing than some of the greatest players in post season history? I'm not "defending" Arod because I dont particularly like Arod the man. But if Dodger fans...or fans of any team for that matter....dont think having Arod in the lineup makes you a better team, you really have to keep that to yourself. It makes you look silly.
Gee. I wonder how many HR's Vlad will hit for the Angels with Arod hitting behind him? See how that works. But wait. It probably wont help the Dodgers. They dont have anyone for Arod to protect.

A-Rod has his ups and downs... Could he help out the dodgers, no doubt he is almost exactly what we need... power hitting 3rd baseman...best hitter in baseball period. Something we really lacked last year. Could teach some of our young kids some things..... BUT he does come with some disadvantages... he doesn't have a track record for making it very far in the playoffs, and he is extremely pricey. I would take tori hunter and Mike Lowell over A-rod... probably cost about the same amount of money... and we could get 2 pretty good bats for the price of one.

Yes and no, the asking price is to high, but 45 hrs and 140 rbis a year would be real nice to have. I'd say if we can't get Cabrera without giving up Kemp, Loney, or Billingsly then A-Rod would be my #1 target.

I wouldn't mind having him. He puts up great numbers during the regular season. I would like to see how he does in the N.L. The only problem with him is the amount of money he demands.
I know Cabrera's also good but I don't want him. I've heard he's a real cancer in the club house. After what happened this season, I don't think we need someone like Cabrera in there.

In wish the Oakland A's would pay for anyone. I would love Arod on my team. At this point I would like for them to go after a decent free agent. All they do is trade vetrans to teams for prospects and once the prospects get good they trade them for more. If I had 30 mil burning in my pocket a year I would get ahold of team management and donate the money to get Arod there.

NO!!!
Give me Cabrera and I'll be happy, a fraction of the cost and will produce similar results. Besides I don't want my Dodgers being the laughing stock of MLB for signing this guy

He brings a team DOWWNNNNN.
I think the Yanks learned this, plus he's full of poor sportsmanship. Let him play for the Mud Hens next year.
