How is he acting? Is he wailing like he's in pain? Is he as limp as a wet noodle? Is he feeding? Is he giving you wet diapers? If the answer to any of those is not favorable, scr*w what the doctor says and take him in. If he's like a wet noodle, not feeding, and not giving you wet diapers, he needs to be seen ASAP. That's often indiciative of dehydration = which can happen quickly in small babies.

Generally, any fever over 101 in an infant under six months old warrants an office visit. If he's feeding okay and seems otherwise happy, it's fine to wait until the morning, but you should have him seen by tomorrow - if for no other reason than his age.

I would wait as the doctor says, but that doesn't mean u shouldn't take action 2 neccesary precautions. Go get some baby tylenol liquid, cough syrup, or baby motrin. It's also best 2 give him a fresh bath. It opens the pores and cleanses u from the outside-in. Good luck, and hope ur son gets well soon!

I'd do some Baby Tylenol (without cold medicine, of course) to bring down his temp. I would also recommend that you try and get as much breast milk or formula into him as you can to keep him hydrated. And, if his temp does not decrease, I would call again. It's ok to be in touch with the doc's office when your little one is sick.

Give your baby some painkiller medicine, keep him/her cool in just a nappy and if you feel this isnt enough call the doctor to come out or take him/her to hospital, your the mum so go by your instincts, if you dont feel all is ok go to hospital for your own peace of mind

If the doctor says to wait, then it is probably better to wait because if you take him to the doctors they will just say the same- to wait.
