This doesn't have to be a real place that you have been to. It could be a place that you have dreamed up.

My idea of a romantic setting: a beautiful field of wildflowers next to a clean, sparkling blue river.

The beach at twilight. Waves lapping gently against the pebbles. Darkness setting in over the horizon. The moon looming huge and white, reflecting in the ocean so it sends a million tiny sparkles out across the waves. The smell of a hot summer lingering in the cooling night air, just cool enough to give me goosebumps on my bare shoulders and arms as my lover gently takes my hand...
I'll cut you out from there onwards...

A forest by a lake at sunset, with a small shore to have a picnic on and maybe some swans and ducks.

I've found out the place actually exists too, long after I made it up - it's called Hazelwood in Sligo, Ireland. Beautiful

A clear, blue waterfall with a large lake. Smooth boulders, bright flowers, and clear skies. And my boyfriend waiting for me.

Or a loft, with the bed in the middle of the room, white drapes, windows open. Ugh, sounds so much better than a house full of sick family members.
