I will first be going to my OB/GYN. Last October I had a blood test done to check my hormone level. Doc said things were fine (whatever "fine" means). Do you think he will have me tested again? Can things change that fast? My stress level has gone up since that time but not that much. Can this be regulated by diet or are taking hormonal supplements the only answer. I really don't want to put that crap in my body. Since having my child 10 years ago, I have had regular periods until a couple of months ago. About a week after my regular period, I start to spot. I will be going to the Dr. in the next couple of days.

I am 41 and in good health

They will run bloodwork to check for other hormones besides things like estrogen and progesterone. They will check for thyroid problems and also other things to see what's going on. With some hormone imbalances there are natural treatments that can be of help instead of using conventional treatments like the pill (just giving an example here).

Depending on what they find they may recommend seeing a hormone specialist (a doctor called an endocrinologist) for further evaluation.

Spotting can be caused by being stressed about something whether good or bad and also sometimes infection can have a symptom of spotting.

You mentioned that you were tested last year and because of that yes sometimes things can change that quickly with our body if something is going on.
