Hi! Looks like the equation is not right

If you evaluate "y" with any value the result is 0 always.
Then 0 cannot be equals to -2

It solves like this:
-2 = 0y
-2 / 0 = y but there is no number that can be divided by 0.

Good luck

you can do a few things , non give a good solution
-2 = 0 * y
-2/0 = y divide by 0 , ooops
0 = 0*y +2
0 = 2 also oops

anytime you have a multiply by 0 it either simplifies things a lot because its always 0 , or you have no solution .

To solve a=by, where "a" and "b" are numbers, you divide both sides by "b", provided that b is NOT equal to 0, and get

y= a/b

But as others have said, it is impossible to divide by zero, and it is impossible for any value of y to make your equation a true statement.

So the answer to your question is: don't divide by anything.
Stop. The equation has no solution.
