Yes, if your connected to the internet it will show you the details of the album, i.e artist,song name, etc. Then you can import by highlighting the songs and dragging and dropping them into your libary.
Then to transfer them from your library to your pod just go to "ipod options" and select "synchronise songs to ipod.

Yes! The great thing about iTunes is it does the work for you. All you have to do is put your CD in your computer, and it will automatically copy it for you and then ask you if you want to import it into your Library. This is good because it gives you the option of only copying the songs from the CD you want into your Library, or if you want to copy all of the songs, you can do that also. Once it is copied into your Library, the next time you connect your iPod to your computer, it will automatically sync and download those songs that you've copied to your iTunes Library. It's basically brainless and I love it.
