If your algae eater is an otocinclus or pleco, chances are they'd be safe, but not if you have a Chinese algae eater. These will eventually be territorial and aggressive to other fish, plus they don't eat algae other than as juveniles.

in the event that they stay on the goldfish will ultimately consume the guppy. If it somewhat is a uncomplicated or comet goldfish it might advance to three foot long. The algae eater would get greater beneficial if it somewhat is a uncomplicated pleco. The fish can stay interior the comparable temperature selection (20-25C) however the dimensions distinction is the concern. Ian

I wouldn't let baby guppies live in the same tank with any larger fish. If the algae eaters, or even their own mothers, get hungry enough, and the guppies are slow enough and small enough to fit in their mouths, they'll eat them!

Yes it would be completely safe. Algae eaters mind their own business quite well and will not bug the guppies.

yes, it is fine, I have my baby guppies with algea eaters so the tank wont get dirty as fast and they dont harm the guppies. I have lost a baby to them, but it is much more likely they will get sucked into a filter if u have 1 than to get harmed by the algea eaters.

That is a good question. I highly doubt that he will eat the fry. Usually plecos only eat algae and fish food, though i have never heard of one eating fry. Get a small pleco just to be on the safe side of things. Good luck ;)
