If a player were to put up Ruth's stats today and be the face of the league he would probalby get about 5 to 10 million more then the next highest paid player.
If there were a player that did what Ruth did when compared to the rest of the league his deal would be around 50 to 75 million a year. Remember Ruth was out homering teams.

Well first of all, if Babe Ruth was playing today, with how watered down the game is from when he played, and the small baseball parks today, he would be batting around .750 today, easily have 200 homers a year. So you have to figure if A Rod wants $30 million a year for 10 years, Babe Ruth would make $3 billion a year, because Ruth was 100 times the player A Rod or anybody today is.
A Study was done on Babe Ruth recently, I wish I remembered where I read it, but had to do with saber-metrics, and they estimated if Babe Ruth played today he would have over 1,600 home runs, and that didn't even take into account how bad pitching is today and for the last 40+ years with all the expansion teams, it was strictly based on how far he hit balls, and with the ball parks being so small today something like 800 more hits he had would have been home runs.
And anybody that thinks Babe Ruth, Ted Williams, Joe DiMaggio, Lou Gerhig and all the greats from 60+ years ago wouldn't do as well today as they did, they have no clue what they are talking about. Every, not most, but EVERY baseball historian, all agree if those players played today they would all do far better today then they did in the years they played.

I say one of the big things is he is a utility player. I do believe that his stats may not be that great today with the talent there is out here today. He would probably lose 20 Pt's on the average and about 15 to 20 on the RBIs. But that would still put him at the top. Who knows his stats may increase due to the equipment they have today. Realistically he would probably make around 30-35 mil a year. It would increase if him and A-Rod were free agents at the same time. Ruth is the greatest in my book.

Theo would offer him 3 years and $39 million and he'd sign with the Yankees. Unlike A-Rod, he would have no trouble performing in October. To listen to Boras, all of his clients are Babe Ruth. The Red Sox have one in right field making $14 million a year. The Giants have one pitching for about $100 million. Why haven't the GMs figured out what the fans already know, You can tell when Scott Boras is lying, his lips are moving.

He would actually have done better because if you look back then there were huge walls that were like 400-500ft. He would get something incredibly huge because ppl would still keep offering him until someone blew it out of the water. A-Rod is not worth that much he wants that much money for what reason, because he wants 30 million for himself and Boras still has his cut, but what could u possibly get with 30 million, plus commercials and sponsorships and ads.

At that point in his career he would probably just be coming into his arbitration year. The team that owned his contract would fine him for being over weight and slander his name to make him less attractive to other teams. Then Boras would come in and claim it was collussion in an attempt to force mlb to make him a free agent. The Babe would have an alcohol related incident with a woman in a bar and get a DUI on his way to court. Babe would be praised for doing a fine job in his court mandate dcommunity service. Boras steps in and he gets 10 yrs and 300k. Things were different in the babes day...

Ehhh, hate ta say it but I'd save my money for someone else, I mean 1921 is 86 years ago and now a days if you ask me we have much better athletes and if Babe Ruth were playing he'd probably have around 35 HR, 100 RBI, 100-120 runs, and a .280-.300 BA every year, so I'd pay around 5 years $110 million.Sorry.

I'm glad you said he was 26. My original answer was going to be not much since he'd be 110. If he was26, I guess you'd have to back up the Brinks truck, cause he'd be making a bundle.

He'd get what the top salary in baseball is right now, plus a little. Remember, those numbers were put up in a very offensive era, so they might come down a little now. He also did have some off-the-field problems at times. I'm not sure how many years he'd get, but he'd do fine.
