Once a species is extinct it is very difficult to reintroduce it for various reasons even with latest technology like cloning or laboratory genesis (conception in laboratory). One of them and maybe the most serious would be that due only few individuals can be reproduced with each other resulting in possible genetic disorders or diseases due to the small diversity in genetic material. As one person said mules is an animal which if eradicated can form from the union of horse and donkey. But if horses and donkeys are eradicated mules would be lost too since Mules cannot reproduced since they are infertile hybrids.

Best thing to do is to never eradicate any species or animal.
