i bought something from ebay for over 300 dollars and the person sent me nothing, i paid with money order. what can i do? he wont respond to emails

The other folks have given you solid advice. This is exactly why I only deal with merchants on eBay who accept Paypal. It is a lot easier (although I wouldn't necessarily say it is a snap) to get your money back when paying with Paypal than with a money order.

Go to your ebay account.. in the left column there is a link for Dispute scroll down its almost at the end .. Click on that and follow it. You should have a small receipt from the money order still in your possession. It is easier to prove payment through Paypal payments but its not impossible to get your money back from the seller. It will take a couple of weeks though be patient. Ebay will go after the seller and they will also give you the guys' phone number..

Report it to ebay, That won't get your money back, but they can ban the person from ebay so others don't get taken.

Tell Ebay, they're used to this kind of stupidity (on the sellers side)

Call where ever you got the money order and cancel it! Most money orders can have a stop pay put on them!
