rock does have the right idea.
I have had a guildmate deleted their character in an "alcohol-fueled fury" (disenchanted his epics and sold the Nexus Crystals for 5 silver a piece). H contacted Blizzard and convinced them that it was an honest mistake (I'm lying, he blamed it on his daughter who got access to his account). Either they were gullible or they took pity on him and they were able to restore his character.
Blizzard can restore your character but you may lose some of your gear, depending on how long ago the character was deleted and what you had at the time

This actually happened to my friend once. He was trying to delete a lower level character (lvl 7 or something like that), and accidentally deleted his lvl 70 character. Yes, it was his own doing.
What he did: he ended up contacting Blizzard saying that his account had been hacked and that his character had been deleted by whoever hacked the account. Blizzard reset his password, gave him the newly generated one, and a while later, they recreated his character for him.
How Blizzard did it, I dont know. I'm not sure if they have a character history cache or if they just looked at his account history or something, but they got his character back to him like nothing had happened. Also, I don't remember how long it took, but it did take some time.
That's my suggestion.

You can get your character back.
Go on another character on the same account and open a GM ticket in game. They should be able to help you, but remember that restorations are never guarenteed.

You cant get your character back if you delete him (unless you lie which is not ok kids) But if i lost my druid, boy would i be heart-broken. I mean he has like a personality of his own. Hes a kind of simplistic, happy-go-lucky kinda guy (PvP is too violent for him) and well, yea thats my thoughts on this point of matter. Please mail me and tell me what you think of my awnser. TY and may Elune be with you :D!!

If you deleted him, there isn't much recourse you have; that's why they make you type "DELETE" as confirmation.
However, if your character disappeared through no doing of your own, contact Blizzard ASAP (it may be available through the in-game menu) and tell them what happened. Be as specific and detailed as possible.

My famous personality contained in the game is the DK severe Lord Margraine before he turns good. That guy changed into completely badass contained in the first 5 lvls of DK practise with the completed note destruction and stuff. absolutely my famous personality.

If this was something you did...then i don't believe their is anyway of getting back..however if someone stole ur password and what not you can write to tech support for WoW and they might be able to do something about it
