I don't see how people do not see the connection. Why is it okay for them to fight and die for a country that views them as second class citizens. They should fight for Americans freedom and to supposedly keep them safe from terrorism but they cannot enjoy the same freedom and rights as everyone else. It's BS.

You deserve to get "smartass answers" because of your name, your avatar, and because your question implies that you do not even remotely understand American culture, or American law, or how culture affects law.
About fifty years ago, homosexuality was so completely taboo in the U.S. that every single state outlawed "sodomy," Hollywood could never make any movies or TV shows that ever talked about it whatsoever, and the American Psychiatric Association labeled it a mental illness.
Things have changed in the last 50 years. But they have changed very slowly. Your question makes you sound as if you are already "ahead" of the rest of society. Good for you. But just because you are ahead of the rest of society is no reason for you to pretend that you don't know this society's history, that you don't understand why the law is the way it is, or that you expect society to catch up to your level.
Like I said, you deserve a smartass answer.

Homosexuals are granted marriage in New Zealand. They also go to war when the current socialist govt. receives a massive concience reminder.

They're actually not allowed to openly be in the military. They can only serve if they keep it secret. That's the "Don't ask don't tell" policy that came into effect under Clinton. As to why this hasn't changed even though our armed forces are currently stretched to the limit and we've resorted to allowing people with criminal records to serve, well that's because the powers that be currently controlling Washington put political ideology above actually keeping Americans safe.

You are obviously confused. Many are confused. The fact is that we don't really know much about gender differences and sexual orientation. The fact is that scientists are afraid of the possible results. What would happen if the results were not politically acceptable? The fact is that we don't want to know the truth in case it flies against our beliefs.
If you think about it, you probably don't want to know the truth either. Would you accept it if genuine scientific research showed that homosexuality was unnatural? I doubt you would. That is why no one does the research to find the truth. Good luck! We all are going to need it.

The two have nothing to do with each other. You might as well ask, "why can women fight in a war, but still not pee standing up."
Personally, I don't care if homosexuals marry each other.

Why not limit the term marriage for those who are wedded before a priest or Representative of the deity. Everyone else should be legally bound or something.
