Pregnancy induced carpal tunnel syndrome is actually fairly common. It is caused by swelling and fluid retention common in pregnancy. You can buy wrist braces and wear them to bed. This helped me quite a bit along with propping my arms on a pillow while I slept. It will help with the discomfort. No need to be any more uncomfortable than you already are!

I'm 37 weeks and my hands are going numb too. They also ache. They feel as if they've smacked with a hammer. I've heard it's because the baby is positioned on a nerve that cuts off circulation to the hands. Hang in there girlie it's all we can do. I'm also having a really hard time breathing...not pleasant.

I also got the same thing when i was pregnant with my son around the same time.... my OB said its quite common for woman in that far in the pregnancy to get symptoms similar to carple tunnel and it will go away within a few weeks of delivery... so pretty much all you can do is grin and bare it unfortunatley.
