Not 100% - many widows move their wedding band to the right hand, many divorcee move the band to the right hand, many people just like having a ring on that finger.

I wear my wedding band on the traditional finger and I wear my first band on my right hand (I got an upgrade toa comfort band last year)

It more likely means he's French, Polish, Russian, Norwegian, or from any one of the many countries where they wear a wedding band on the right ring finger. Orthodox Christians wear it on the right hand also.

Like Squeaky, and almost everyone we know, we wear our rings on our left hands.

Never heard of anyone using their right hand for their wedding band--gay or straight. Your question is not that different from "does two earrings mean a guy is versatile?". It may just be a matter of personal preference, with no hidden or intended meaning.

I wear the engagement ring my partner gave me on my left hand, and we plan on wearing our wedding bands on our left hands, I am an Episcopalian and she is a Jew and in both our traditions, the left hand is customary.

I know I wear the silver ring my boyfriend gave me on my right ring finger, as he didn't propose when he gave it to me. Had he proposed I would wear it on my left hand. But for now I'm wearing it righty. ;)

So I wouldn't say wearing your ring on your right hand is a sign that you are gay, but to just ask the person what's the meaning behind the ring.

My partner and I wear our rings on our left hands. When my ex left me I wore her ring on my left hand as a sign that she was gone, but I was not ready to let go yet. It was too big and i lost it. Guess that was a sign too. It never came back and neither did she. Oh well.

no he could be wearing it on his right because it fits on that finger and he doesn't want to wear it on his wedding finger (because he is not married)

I do not wear rings or watches or bracelts. They get in the way of my piano practicing.
