My car ('96 4.3L V8 Caprice) is leaking coolant. When I drive, the car does not overheat, but it seems to be losing a lot of it. Every week, my low coolant light comes on, and I have to add a 1/2 gallon or so. When I park my car overnight, there is a puddle on the ground. My oil is not brown, so I dont think there is anything wrong with my headgasket(s). What could be the problem?

You either have a frozen thermostat or a hole on the radiator or a hole in either the feed or return hose. If it is not heating up most likely not the water pump or cooling fan. When you park it for the night and come out the next day look where the puddle is and line it up with motor this will help you seclude where the issue is. Good Luck

Where Does it Look like it might be Coming from? Where is the puddle? Check Hose Clamps For tension! Hoses for Cracks, Overly soft (Coming Apart Inside)! Freeze Plugs at Back of Block!

If it's leaking, take it to a shop, for a few bucks and a little time, they can pressure test the coolant system and find the leak.

If you want to try it yourself, then in the morning, locate the new puddle, and see where it could be coming from, water pump, radiator, radiator hoses, heater hoses, even the coolant resorvoir itself to name a few.

you want to get a flashlight and hint again the leak, we may be able to no longer help you over the web. next time you word the puddle, start up instantly up from that section and go searching. each and every from time to time it travels and drips in a diverse spot on the floor so don't be fooled through the puddle spot. it will be a leaking hose connection, water pump, radiator, and so on.

Probably the pipes or seals to the radiator.
Probably need to have a mechanic look at it.
It could be the thermostate, or cap to the radiator also.

Good luck
