Who should decide ? I should let you know its not only us that decide. I'm sure other members of the free world want to have a say in who has them and who should not.
If we allow everyone to have one... How about a nuke in every garage and a chicken in every pot. Then, who will use it first? And, it will get used.
With freedom comes responsibility. With power comes responsibility. "I hope our wisdom will grow with our power, and teach us, that the less we use our power the greater it will be."

Actually.. we tell everyone it's wrong... we weren't even keen on India and Pakistan getting them... and they are (relatively) friendly with us.
Simple fact is two part here.... first off.. top dog likes to stay top dog... and we're the top dog.
second part is no one needs nukes... the only good that can come from them is the eventual total annihilation of the human race

Because we would rather not wake up some morning with a mushroom cloud forming over NYC, Tel Aviv, London, Tokyo or Moscow. It's called self preservation, not only for us but for the entire human race.

If you have to ask this question, you're missing something very important...
some nations are stable, responsible and only interested in self-preservation. They seek to protect their own sovereignty and national identity.
Others... like Iran... have a different philosophy. They are of the mindset that there is a divine doctrine for them to fulfill which includes the destruction of Israel and death to as many Infidels as possible. We're infidels to them.
Get the picture?

That's the right Question.
It isn't our responsibility. We have no right telling others that nukes are too dangerous for them to have, but we can have them. Imagine if Iran said that to us. If they had nukes and we did not. If you start to look at the US from the outside, it's easy to understand why the rest of the world hates us.

Because US became self proclaimed world's policeman and keep sticking its nose where it does not belong and not because we believe in freedom, liberties and other nonsense,.but because we want to spread our influence and all is being done in the name of $$$. That is why our country is being hated all over the world and different terrorists, extremists and other enemies want to do harm to us and our country. Our government is being very well protected, but how about an average Americans? How many innocent people died during 9/11 and all because of our evil and unjust foreign policy..
