I'm looking for popular tings among teenagers of 1939-1948 sort of recovering after the war. Things like movies, radio, music, clothes, etc.

Check out the use of cocaine -- it was big and legal in the 20s and 30s --- hard to believe, huh? Google that, I'm sure you'll come up with something. I don't have a link but it's pretty interesting.

They were listening to the "rat pack" "Big Swing Bands", doing the jitter bug. In the south it was the "Grand Ole Opry" on the radio
