I am planning on getting a job at a major newspaper (New York Times, Chicago Tribune, etc.) and I know which paper I want to report for, but I would kind of like to know what the general populace thinks. What newspaper do YOU think is the most respected, the most accurate, the most well-known? Thanks for your help and opinions.

I'd just like to add that I want to work for either the Chicago Tribune, the Daily Herald, or the New York Times. If anybody has any thoughts on these newspapers in particular, please give me what you think! (And also, if anyone out there works there, put in a good word for me with your boss!!!!!)

The Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Christian Science Monitor (seriously), The L.A. Times are all great newspapers. You could also work for the BBC, Reuters, the AP. Of course, you could do it the hard way and work as a stringer.

Good luck.
