Ok so one of my friends, who is bi-sexual, decided to try the online thing. She started talking to this girl, and they decided to meet. When she got to the meeting place... it was actually a man.

Not like a transgender F2M or something... it was a straight male.

Why would any guy do that? Now Im kinda scared to try the online thing myself...

Because their brains are in their *****!

And they (this one anyway) has such an ego, he thought he could convince her other wise...

Try the online thing, but make sure you "talk" (men have really deep voices) on the phone first, get a discription of something you can recognize from a far, like a color of a jacket or something so you can run before he sees you.. Always meet in a public place and never invite someone to your home or go to theirs

Because he's a liar and a jerk. Did he think she wouldn't care that he lied to her and just go out with him anyway? Or was it just a joke? If he thought he had a chance with her then he should have been up front about being a man from the beginning. That's just plain stupid and mean.

I wouldn't let this ruin your wanting to try meeting people online, though. It's still worth a try.

BE SCARED SH*TLESS, BE REALLY SCARED SH*TLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't...bad idea to try that thing. Back in the late 90's I saw a Montel Williams show (now just called Montel) and he did it on online dating and this woman had her teen daughter disappear after she agreed to meet a man that she swore up and down she was inlove with at a public place. A good way for sick s.o.b.s to find people from who they can rape, torture and kill, to sell overseas to rich people that collect wifes or slaves, and all the way inbetween!

Best thing to do is research on all the d@mn horror stories there are more of those than success out there still I bet!!!!!!!!!!!

Your friend should check the local laws to see whether or not charges can be pressed. At the very least, she should report him to the online dating site and his ISP.

Never believe on on-line dating. Internet is full of SCAMMERS! Investigate first before you intend to meet with that person personally.
