Yes. Breastfeeding is not a good method of birth control. You can take a mini-pill that only has progesterone. It's safe to take while breastfeeding. Switch to a combo pill as soon as your period returns and use a back-up method while you switch. Or you can get an IUD. But don't risk getting pregnant again before you're ready.

ABSOLUTELY! If you don't want to get pregnant again, definitely! It isn't full proof for sure, I know several women that got pregnant while nursing. Your doctor can give you the appropriate birth control that is safe for nursing women. Best of luck to you!

Breast feeding is an imperfect form of birth control. Conversely, taking oral contraceptives may reduce your milk supply. Talk to your OB. There are other forms of birth control that may work for you.

Yes.

Although breastfeeding can delay your cycles and ovulation, it does not prevent ovulation and conception in all cases. If you do not want your babies to be a year apart, practice safe sex during breastfeeding. Get on the pill, the shot, the patch or even an IUD.

Yes!!!! That's how I got pregnant with the last two!!!!
Many times if you have a great milk supply, you don't get your period. BUT, don't wait until the start of your period to be careful. Remember, you ovulate BEFORE you menstruate.

Yep!

Since cycles can be wacky and ovulation hard to track, you might want to use supplemental birth control.
