On yourself? On the things a child needs? Are you getting to little? The right amount? Or more than you should and don't complain?
Or do you spend it or act like this lady?

Colleen O:
$66.00 half the cellphones/internet
$33.00 half the cable bill
That's $99 a month in expenses a child does not really need. That should come out of your money, not his. A child can survive without internet access, cell phone, and cable. Those are luxury items.

I think to totally make sure the child is getting the support the party with the child should provide receipts of all transactions on what the support was used for. The court then can adjust the payment and approve or deny some said expenses.

I buy my son shoes, clothes, food, sports equipment, movie tickets, books and games. The child support payment doesn't pay for half of this. I don't complain because the sperm donation never has wanted to meet my wonderful son and I don't have to share my boy. The sperm donation does write letters to me about how paying support is so expensive and is so hard for him because he is living off an enlisted army salary. I get $220 a month- the ***.

whatever I get goes to pay for expenses mostly childcare since that puts me about 200-500 in the red every month.
We aren't on any type of payment schedule. And since he freelances, I figure my chances are better if I don't fight him for a set amount. Though, I'd like it if it were something I could count on every month or week or whatever. Its nice that I can go to him and say hey listen I'm short funds and need such and such and he somehow provides. I figure I've gotten about 5000 in the 8 months since she's been born. That is $625/month and her child care is $180 a week. That doesn't include food or diapers. Though it would be a lot better if we didn't have two separate households. Its just not something either of us are really willing to do.

I receive 274 a month which translates into about 63.74 a week when he pays like he is suppose to. With that I go out and I buy my child at least one outfit or a pair of shoes everytime that I get a check. I buy her all the things she needs. It is to take care of the child not to spend on myself selfishly and complain about not getting more. But hey thats life

Actually the support I receive gets direct deposited into an account for my son. When he needs clothes, or just the little things he likes; we take some money out. It's also a part of his allowance. I rarely use the money, being I work, but it's nice to know when my son is ready for college the money will be there.

It goes in the bank.. all of my money is spent on my children.. so it either goes to food that I feed them or electricity I pay for, or clothes or shoes for sports or money for the movies, etc...
No, I dont complain . In fact I went to court and got his court ordered child support dropped. Now, he gives me what he can afford when he can afford it. And it is ok.
Sometimes it is to little, sometimes it is more than I need..and if I ever have needed extra... he has always been there for us. And I think it is because the courts are out of it and it is for the children..and we trust each other.

my sons father paid a couple of payments( he owes over 30,000. When I got the payments I took my son out to buy whatever he wanted. With the rest I paid bills and bought food. I ahve not got child support for a few years over 3 years.I am suppose to get 250 per month, 125 on the first, 125 on the fifteenth. He refuses to pay and refuses to take care of our son.(he isnt just my son he is our son and he still thinks he doesnt have to pay child support because I am married) .
Child support is suppose to go to the child and used for what ever keeps the child alive, the water bill, the gas bill, rent, ect. not just for clothes or food for that child. anything that keps the child alive.

IF I was getting child suport in the first place, it would be spent on diapers and cloths... my son grows so fast and big that I really wish that the so called father would send me money. My son's needs come before mine to begin with but CHILD support is ment for the CHILD

The money is to be spent on the needs of the child. (My son's father and I are no longer together, but he is a great guy. We didn't have to go through the court system.)
I am thoroughly disgusted by mothers who receive child support and spend it on new clothes, cigarettes, alcohol, makeup, gym memberships, etc.

I know of numerous women who never get a penny from the sorry losers who call themselves "dad." These women raise the children, while working, being mother and father both, and sometimes putting themselves through school to provide a better life for the children. The woman in the link is the exception and deserved just what she got for being so greedy.
